The Bauchi-based side started brightly and raced into a one goal lead through Daniel Jackson.
However, United produced a spirited response and levelled up thanks to Umar Shettima.

“The boys tried with the way they squeezed and suffocated Wikki Tourists.”
“Remember we were up against a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) team with so much talents. We can give ourselves thumbs up for a great job done.”
“We will continue working and correct the mistakes noticed. We still have work to do,” the bulky coach added.
Defender Kingsley Iwuji was happy to contribute his quota during the game.
“I’m just doing my job. I know what I can do and I try to perform well for the team.
“There are two more games left to play in the group and I want to try and play as much as possible to help my team qualify for the quarter finals.”
Up next for Sokoto United is a tricky test against Kwara United. Iwuji believes Sokoto can get a positive result.
“Every game is tough in this competition,” he said. “Kwara United is a tough opposition but we trust each other than we can get some points.
“We have a team that is mentally strong. We know we can win, and we showed that fight in the second half against Wikki Tourists
