As Christian faithfuls all over the world celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, JP has advocated nations of the world to embrace peace.

Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike in his Easter message made available, sounded that embracing peace at this critical period is the only panacea to the blood- letting crises, killings, arson and henious crimes ravaging the world including Nigeria.

The sports philanthropist added that lessons of the Easter should be our watchword because Jesus Christ preached peace and love which are required ingredients for progress and development.

“Jesus Christ preached peace, He died for mankind, He laid down His life to safe sinners and the world from eternal damnation, therefore, we should embrace peace and preach peace” in the words of Ejidike.

The significance of Easter according to the Nigeria Pillar of Sports Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike is: “Jesus Christ’s triumph over death. His resurrection means the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The purpose of Easter also means the full confirmation of all that Jesus taught and preached during His three-year ministry. If He had not risen from the dead, if He had simply died and not been resurrected, He would have been thought just another teacher or Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He had overcome death once and for all.”

“Easter is the time to remember the sacrifice made by Lord Christ and his unconditional love. Let us follow the right path shown by the Son of God. Happy Easter. This is a very significant occasion amidst love, peace, and prosperity! As I wish every Nigerian happy Easter, I hope people will be able to spend some meaningful time with sweet delicacies and abundant laughter! May the spirit of Easter stay ignited in your hearts and bring you serenity!”

He called on world leaders particularly the rulers in Nigeria not to embark on any policy that will fan the embers of disunity but to demonstrate sincerity of purpose that will give hope to the people.
