Kwara FA Assures Stakeholders to drive football development

Kwara state Football association executives over the weekend, restated it’s commitments to installing new thinking and ideas to drive the game forward.

The body led by it’s chairman, Mallam Idris Musa Abdullahi together with his vice, Bashorun Bankole and other board members on a courtesy visit to foremost Politician in the state, Alhaji Moshood Mustapha, said football governance in Kwara has taken a new dimension which will be driven over by youthful, dynamic and innovative ideas.

The body explained the visit was part of it’s readiness to organised events in honour of the pioneer chairman of the association, Alh. Usman Mustapha, the father of Moshood.

Mallam Musa highlighted with facts the impact his board has recorded since coming on board, notably the successful hosting of the Under-15 championship where a total of sixteen players were picked to be nurtured to zenith of professional Football.

The democratically elected chairman noted that his board will strive hard to put kwara on the global map through passion, commitments and result oriented plans to develop the game.

Moshood Mustapha, while receiving FA delegation, appreciated the executives and said Football needs leaders who can institute reforms for good governance and affirmed that it is a major unifying factor in Nigeria while charging the leaders to do more in the area of developing the game.

The football enthusiast emphasized on the need for Kwara to be making positive contributions in the game of football through talents breeding, stating that alot of Nigeria youths are unemployed, and believed that with good governance and excellent management of resources, football can provide employment for hundreds of millions of Youths which will help in reducing social vices and restiveness.

He spoke on the need to address the issues of football Politics which has hindered the development of the game in the past and assured the football executives of his support and commitments towards helping the association in their bid to achieve it goals.

Other Members of the association presents at the meeting were Captain Dayo Ayodele, Coach Tunde Sanni, Mr. Wasiu Lawal, Kashim Agaka and Mr Adeshina
