Olansile FA Claims Second Fortunate Cup

Hard fighting foremost football academy in the state of Osun, Olansile FA have emerged champions of the much aired football tourney in the state.

Having showed class to dump aside TSO FC in semi final, Shile lads set up an epic clash with city neighbor City Roller FC who in turn pipped Young King’s FC by two goals to one.

With City Roller claiming the possession in early minutes of the duel, Omoniyi tutored side was lucky to have sustained the halfway goalless as Roller’s forward Adekunle Fatai pulls the trigger which forces Adisa Olivea to deny the kid sensation from range.

Olansile lads returned with determination for second half and could have benefited from a scrappy defensive work in the early minutes but failed to capitalize on the Roller’s blunder at the back.

The hope of lifting the trophy finally arrive at the hour mark for Shile lads as Oyewunmi Tayo powers in a low drive off an assist by Matthew Ogunrinola to register his second goal of the tournament, Ganiyu Wasiu also capped it up minutes later to give Olansile FA the deserved win.

The much talked about glamorous tourney lived to its hype as wonderkid Ayo Adeniran of City Roller consoled Yobo tutored side with personal award of Most Valuable Player amongst over 350 players who took part in the under age tournament.

Ganiyu Wasiu who led the goal chart with three goals was awarded his deserved plaque. Fortunate Cup is an annual tourney being financed by the CEO of Fortunate Bakery in the state of Osun Alhaji Wasiu Adejumo.
