Super Eagles duo of Paul Ebere Onuachu and Frank Onyeka during the week paid a surprised visit to their boyhood club FC Ebedei in Sagamu, Ogun State.

The KRC Genk of Belgium and Brentford of England stars spent few years playing for the academy owned by Barrister Churchill Oliseh before travelling to pursue a career in Denmark with Midtjylland.

Newly married Onuachu and Onyeka, who are currently on holidays in Nigeria after a successful season with their respective clubs, took time out from their busy schedule as they paid a visit to the management, coaches and players of the Nationwide League One (NLO) club side.

It will be a lifetime experience for players of the FC Ebedei after they trained and shared exciting moments with the Super Eagles duo.

Onuachu and Onyeka who graduated from FC Ebedei in 2012 and 2016 respectively also had peep talk with the players as they urged them to train harder, shun social vices as they can be the next football stars from Nigeria and indeed Africa.

A delighted Onuachu shared a post on social media platform Instagram, “Very happy to visit the Academy, Barrister Churchill Oliseh, thanks for all you have done for us and still doing more, God bless you Sir ❤.”

Overwhelmed by their visit, President of FC Ebedei Barrister Churchill Oliseh said: “A big thank you to Paul and Frank for coming around to see the lads, and this is what we have been championing that our stars visit their boyhood clubs. God bless both of you and together we appreciate you both, keep the flag flying and more successes ahead.’

Meanwhile, Oyenka will be out with Nigeria for this month’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Sierra Leone and São Tomé and Príncipe.

Nigeria hosts Sierra Leone on Thursday 9th June, before flying to Marrakech, Morocco to tackle São Tomé and Príncipe on Monday, 13th June.

Former Flying Eagles star Oladoye Adewale has made his debut for KAA gent in their Jupiler League playoffs ties against Standard Siege which they won 2-0 on Wednesday night in Belgium.

The victory made possible through the goals of Yonas Malede and Roman Yaremchuk in the seventh and 94th minutes has brightened Gent’s hope of stealing the ticket to the Europa conference league which makes its debut in Europe next season.

Adewale’s moment to cherish came came on the 90th minute when he was thrust into the game by Gent head coach.

The flying Eagles Star under Coach Ladan Bosso got the nod in the second half of jupiler league. The water f c Combative Midfieder made instant impression when he came in as interception of pass led to the second goal of the match.

Oladoye needs no introduction, he looked hungry to play his competitive debut arfter he was on the bench in the last game. It could be recalled that, the duo of Adewale Oladoye and Emeka Chinoso signed the dotted lines from water fc Abuja to Gent Fc about not quite long.
