Ambitious Nationwide League One (NLO) (division One) side Hammola International FC of Ido Osun on Friday unveiled former Osun Babes Head Coach, Abdulazeez Abdulrazaq as the club’s new technical adviser.

In his address during the well organised unveiling ceremony, the President of the club, Muideen Odeyemi, popularly knows as ‘Odhelee’ said the club was found mainly to encourage home grown talent and give them a chance to excel to the world.

“We are optimistic that this initiative will give opportunities to many young players around our environment, playing in the NLO division One will ensure the players get the chance to showcase themselves.

“We aim to progress through to the Nigeria National League next season and that is alot of work to do.

“The new manager is experienced and one who have managed some notable clubs in the past. He was with Osun Babes, Knight FC and is also the assistant manager of the South-west U-13 and U-15 team. We are hopeful and know he is going to do a great job with us. He concluded.

Also speaking, Team Manager of club and Chairman Grassroot Football Coaches Association of Nigeria (Osun), Rasheed Adeleke in his words reiterated on the words of ‘Odhelee’ , highlighting the aim behind Hammola International FC.

“Our vision is to transform local talents into greatness, as a club, we have about 85% of local talents in the team, and also we are well instituted and want to do things the right way, because that is what we believe in. The team is disciplined and we aim to achieve our set out goals.” He concluded.

In their speeches, Former Chairman of Egbedore Local Government, Hon. Kola Ajao, Renowned Sports Philanthropist Muideen Elebuibon, Sports Adminstrator Suleiman Folarin, Osun State F.A Secretary, Amoo Abayomi, Grassroots Football Coach, Akin Oyedunmola and Top Sports Journalists, Tunde Shamsudeen all expressed confidence that the new manager would take the club to the expected height.

Speaking after his unveiling, Coach Abdulazeez Abdulrazaq said he joined Hammola FC International to achieve success, adding that he was happy to be part of the Ido-Osun based club, setting an NNL target for himself.

The chairman and proprietor of Ottasolo FC, Gabriel Davies has scored another goal by acquring a Nationawide League one slot for his team that shone like a million Stars at the Governor Wike Pre-season Tourney in Port-Hacourt two months ago.

Gabriel who is a former footballler has invested his time and resources on Ottasolo Football club that is gradually carving a niche for itself as far football is concern in Nigeria.

According to Gabriel Davies while speaking to Ottasolo media department following the acquisition of a Nationwide League One slot

“I think my commitment is very clear which is is to give back to the society that i benefited from while growing up.

“I know how tough it his to become a professional footballer in Nigeria, that is the more reason why i have decided to invest my time and resources on a football team that can easily pave way for talented young footballer roaming the street. The chairman clarified.

“You could see our little achievement at the Wike Tournament in Port Harcourt, despite not having enough time to train together as a team, Ottasolo FC won the best team of the tournament and three of our players joined NPFL sides and two joined NNL sides. 

“I am very happy with what we have achieved thus far and we will continue to build on our little achiements.

The chairman continued,

“We have successfully acquired a Nationwide League One slot and we will give it our all to ensure that we prove to football enthusiasts that we are team to beat.

“We have not acquired the slot just to complete the numbers rather to play and win. Davies concluded.

Ottasolo FC participated at the Wike Pre-season tourney in Port Harcourt and gave NPFL sides such as Lobi Stars, Rivers United run for their money

The Nationwide League One (NLO) through it’s Secretariat has give clubs (Division One, Two and Three) conditions for the kick start of the 2020/21 season.

A statement signed by the nation’s third-tier league Chief Operating Officer (COO) Olushola Ogunnowo and titled Preparations and Commencement of 2021 NLO season, informed clubs in all it’s divisions that it would expedite action in the following.

Arrangements for stadium leagues (replica of zonal league), as it’s due to the current financial situation in the country, the risk of COVID-19 ravaging the world, and to meet up with the time frame given by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to complete the season, so the league can return back to the previous formation when normalcy returns.

It also made it mandatory for all clubs to present an evidence of affiliation to their respective State Football Association and evidence of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) incorporation. This is to ensure that clubs comply with the best international best practices.

Medical examination of players and officials is expected to be carried out 72 hours at match venues before commencement of games.

It further warned all clubs that it’s Secretariat would not accept any excuses from club(s) who refused to comply with its directives.

The management of Nigeria’s third tier league, Nation-Wide League One NLO, has announced the commencement of stadium inspection ahead of new football season.

The Independent board of the NLO led by its Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Alkali also announced players of each club participating in the new NLO season would be going through medical examination in reference to Covid19 pandemic test. 

In a circular released by the league body on Wednesday, it also approved the zonal league format for the new season having considered the financial challenges faced by the clubs and also to reduce the curve for the spread of Covid19.

The NLO also warned that any club that fail to meet up with the league body’s requirements won’t be allowed to participate in the new season. 

It however promised to return the league to the old format once normalcy returns just as it solicited optimum corporation from the clubs to have an hitch free season.
