This is contained in a letter titled; ‘Your Appointment As National Team Media Officer’ and signed by Davids Adewoye, General Secretary of NMA. The letter reads; “In view of your none desire for rewards in cash or in kind on activities in all the Association’s past programmes, the Nigeria Minifootball Association (NMA) resolved to appoint you (Niyi Busari) as the Association Media Officer for the 2nd Edition of African Minifootball Nations Cup to hold in Ibadan, in few months time. We appreciate as you commence your official duties as soon as we flag off the Camping.

“We trust your ability to give Minifootball the greatest publicity beyond expectations. We wish you the best of time with the Nigeria Minifootball Association.”

The largest city in Nigeria, Ibadan, will host 20 African countries who will be contesting for the title in the 10-day championship which commence on 8th July to 17.

The African Minifootball Cup (AMC) is a continental indoor minifootball competition contested by the senior men’s national teams of the members of African Minifootball Federation (AMF). The first edition of the tournament was held in Libya in May 2018. The second edition Was scheduled for last year but was postponed due to Coronavirus pandemic.

Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria, PFAN, has appointed Publisher, BSN Sports, Niyi Busari as the Chairman Research, Record and Statistics Committee.

Ex-player, Ubale Yusuf is appointed as the Secretary while Barrister Audu Lawal is the member of the committee saddled with the responsibility of keeping of records, collation of data and statistical analysis of the Players Union.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Union’s Secretary General, Emmanuel Babayaro which reads in parts;

“The following have been appointed as members of the Research, Records and Statistics Committee;

Niyi Busari – Chairman, Ubale Yusuf- Secretary, Barrister Audu Muhammed Lawal.

“They are saddled with the responsibility of keeping the PFAN history alive through data collation, archiving and Statistical analysis.
This very critical committee which is the nerve center of the union will be the One Stop Go To place for everything PFAN.

“The committee can also conduct researches for Developmental purposes and proffer solutions to related problems as may be deemed necessary. The committee shall interface with every other committee and would be working closely with the PFAN ICT unit.

“The track record of the individual members of the committee speak volumes and PFAN is very proud of their sacrifice. Congratulations to all the members of the committee and God bless PFAN.”

The Publisher applauded Alhaji Mouktar and his team for changing the narrative of football in the state since his inception as the FA Chairman, noting digitalisation of the FCT League, fair, credible and successful supervision of Area Council Football Chairmanship Elections, Purchases of kits for the members of the FCT Referee Association, sponsorship of Coaches to NIS Coaching Course, sponsorship of training of over 70 Nigerian journalists in Journalism Training were some of his milestones within the last 365 days in office.

Niyi Busari maintained that football adminstration had witnessed development with his Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative and other laudable Programmes aimed at taking football to the next level in the State.

The statement implored him not to renege in his right path and sustain the spirit of developing the game of football in all the 6 Area Councils of the State by attracting more investors to complement Government’s contributions.

The organisation urged relevant stakeholders in the state to join hands with the FA, so that football can witness the desired goals in the state.
