The National Umbrella for Public Office Holders Association in Nigeria (POHAN) has felicitated with His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the occasion of his 69th birthday anniversary celebration.

A statement by the National President of POHAN Chief Dr. MD Eseyin, on Monday in Abuja, described Tinubu as a visionary leader and an astute Ex Public Office Holder who has remained relevant in the Nigeria’s political space for several decades.

He noted that Tinubu’s remarkable achievements and giant developmental strides in terms of infrastructure, health, human capacity building and development across the country was second to none.

Eseyin added that the consistent relevance of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Nigeria’s political space for decades, was not unconnected with his passion for the less privilege and progressive mindset in raising and empowering people of different background, ethnicity, tribe or religious affiliation.

The POHAN National President further commended the Jagaban of Borgu for his wisdom and ability to raise men who are making waves politically and in every sector of the Nigeria’s economy, as well as lifting many out of poverty.

”Your Excellency, you have exhibited uncommon wisdom, remarkable vision, and exemplary leadership. You have been a role model and an example of selfless giving to this generation, and we are proud to hold you as someone worthy of emulation.

A statement by the National President of POHAN Chief Dr. MD Eseyin, on Sunday in Abuja, described the sudden death of the late Hon Akor as a rude shock and devastating to the entire POHAN family.

”It is with a rude shock and devastating we received the sad news on the passing of our own beloved brother, friend and member of POHAN, Hon. Adaidu Akor.

”POHAN was indeed deeply saddened to hear of his sudden demise. Our heart goes out to the immediate family during this difficult period.

”Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that we feel in POHAN for his passing, but our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

”We pray God to grant him eternal rest, and grant his wife, children and the entire family he left the fortitude to bear this devastating loss”, Eseyin said.

The President for the Public office Holders Association of Nigeria, Dr Moses Deola Eseyin has congratulated Barrister Femi Mokikan the National Chairman of the Okun Development Association.

Dr Eseyin who also from the Okun extraction area of Kogi State made his congratulatory message earlier today in Lagos during an Okun people’s forum meeting organized to chat a way forward for the Okun people.

Speaking at the meeting Bashorun Eseyin commended the electoral team for the peaceful and transparent coordination of the election and emergence of the National Officers into various offices to serve our people for the next tenure. He also congratulated all contestants and the winners describing the struggle to librate and develop Okun as a contest of no victor no vanquish as we are all responsible to collectively be part of our own mother’s land development.

While charging the newly elected members, he said, no doubt that Barrister Femi Mokikan is no stranger to us , we are confident of his results so far as our National Chiarman and having him re-elected is deserving and would be a consolidation of his giants strides towards defending our culture and heritage and more importantly pushing forward.

Dr. Eseyin concluded by calling on all Okun Sons and Daughters home and diaspora to support and rally round the Okun Development Association Executives to make their work easier and achieving an enviable Okun race realizable.

The National President, Public Office Holders Association of Nigeria (POHAN), Chief Dr Moses Adeola Eseyin, has urged public office holders and leaders at all levels to exhibit good governance and quality leadership in any position of authority they occupy.

Eseyin made the call in his speech at the POHAN PAU Leadership Summit 2021, held over the weekend at the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) Conference Centre Abuja.

He expressed his humility to stand at the epoch making historical event of the coming together of great intellectual and professional leaders from different fields of expertise to interact and share opinions, views and ideology on the state of the Nation, Leaderships and good governance.

”I want to congratulate all participants at this Leadership Summit, who have all demonstrated true patriotism to the call of our dear nation; you are worthy to be called Heroes and progressive leaders.

According to Eseyin, POHAN is the umbrella body for former and serving Public Office Holders Association of Nigeria is an Association birthed out of passion and concern to promote effectiveness and efficiency in public service.

He added that the body was established to uphold the global standard and conduct of public service rule, to defend the rights of Public Office Holders and foster good leadership and good governance.

”In accordance to our objectives, I am pleased to proudly say that we have been consistent in ensuring we meet our goals for National Development.

”In the same spirit, as part of our unrelenting initiatives to improve the leadership quality of Public Office Holders in the country, it became pertinent to call on leaders, experts and technocrats with vast experiences and high intellectual capacities to brainstorm, interact and chart a way forward for our dear nation.

”There is no better time than now for stakeholders and leaders to come together to share ideas and align thoughts as the burden of our nations shoulders squarely on us all and we have got to do our beat to contribute to its growth.

”Therefore, we strongly look forward to sharing from your wealth of experiences and tapping from your wisdom counsel as same shall be gazettes and sent to appropriate authorities for considerable trial”, Eseyin said.

Speaking to Journalists after the summit, Eseyin charged Nigerians to take ownership of their safety by binding together against the common enemy and proffer permanent solutions.

He lamented on the spate of insecurity challenges confronting Nigeria as a country, citizens, either as groups or individual, stressing the need tocollectively confronted the menace headlong.

Eseyin, who was a former Special Adviser on Students’ Affairs, Youth and Sports to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, stressed that Nigerians must take their safety into their hands as security remain everybody’s problem.

According to him, the best option open to Nigerians and her stakeholders is for all to come together and, brainstorm on the way to binding together and proffer lasting solutions.

”There is no better time than now for stakeholders and leaders to come together to share ideas and align their thoughts as the burden of our nation shoulders squarely on us all and we have got to do our best to contribute to its growth.

“Everybody must begin to be security conscious the way the world is going, if you are not, then you are not helping the Government and police to be able to overcome.

”If you do your own part and the Government does its own part, gradually effectively we will overcome insecurity”, he said.

He, therefore, advised the youths to come on board and be part of the Government, to ensure that they give valuable information that security agencies could use to tackle insecurity.

He added that the South American University, Pan American College and the Institute of Science Management and Technology (JPTS) were partnering on leadership with POHAN to inculcate leadership skills in the students.

According to Eseyin, about 500 students graduated while over 400 matriculated during the occasion.

The highlight of the occasion was the administering of prestigious public service Credence Certificate on some personalities who had over the years proven in duty and in conduct to be advocates of good governance and has forthwith exemplified quality leadership at various levels, and worked inline with the cherished quality virtue standards of POHAN.

The South America University, Pan America College and JPTS with high regard for POHAN, also conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree for outstanding leadership style on some peronalities who were members of POHAN.

NAN reports that Chief Moses Deola Eseyin, was among the personalities that received the Honorary Doctorate Degree for outstanding leadership style.

A statement from the National Headquarters of the association, signed by its National Secretary, Hon. Kabiru Isa, confirmed the appointment of the state excos.

Recalled that Hon. Haruna Opanachi Yusuf, had since been appointed as the Chairman of POHAN in Kogi State.

In the press statement, Hon. Shiru Lawal, the Immediate Past Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor, and former Lokoja Local Government Administrator, was appointed as the Deputy Chairman, while Hon. Abdulrahman Badamasuiy, was appointed as the State Secretary of POHAN, Kogi State Chapter.

Badamasuiy is an Instructor at Kaduna Polytechnic, and Chief Executive of Home Bakery and Confectionaries, one time Chairman of Adavi Local Government.

Badamasuiy was also a former Kogi Commissioner for Environment, former Chairman Kogi State Pension Board and a member of the House of Representatives 7th Assembly.

In the same vein, Mr. Shola Gaddafi, a former DG Protocol, Government House, was appointed as the State Public Relation Offcer (PRO) of POHAN,

Other appointments are: Hon. Hassan Atayoma Omale, the Immediate past House of Representatives member representing Omala, Anpka and Olamaboro Federal Constituency, Kogi State, was appointed as Vice Chairman, Kogi East, while Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Modeyin, was appointed asVice Chairman, Kogi West.

Hon. Modeyin, was former Secretary of Kabba/Bunu Local Government, and later elected as Chairman of the same local government.

Hon Hilary Amodu, the immediate past Idah Local Government Administrator, was appointed as POHAN Organizing Secretary, Kogi East, while Hon. Musa Bakare, as the Assistant State Secretary.

POHAN Board has also held their Extra Ordinary Meeting, and approved minor reshufflement at the National Headquaters of the Body.

The Acting National Secretary, Mr. Oluyemi Moses Eniola, has been replaced by Mr. Kabir Isah, a thorough bred and worldwide Management Consultant.

Mr Oluyemi Moses Eniola will now serve as the POHAN head of Training, while Dr Chris Irene Imumolen, the President of Onshore & Offshore Oil and Gas Professionals Association of Nigeria, was appointed as Technical Advisor.

Dr. Chris was a former Technical Adviser to Akwa Ibom State on Oil and Gas. He possessed two PhD Academic Degrees, three Master Degrees and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.

Mr Ajagun Samuel Opeyemi was appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to the National President of POHAN.

In a related development, Alhaji Aliyu Suleiman Aliyu (wambai Sabon Garin Tudun Wada), has been appointed as Kaduna State Chairman of POHAN.

Aliyu is the present Chairman of Kaduna Peoples’ Association (KPA), one time Aole Administrator of Kaduna South Local Government Area.

All the appointments are with immediate effect.

POHAN in a release signed by its president, Bashorun MD Eseyin described Governor Bello as a leader who is determined and fearless.

The body however prayed for the his long life and more success as he continue to pilot the affairs of the state.
