The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has emerged the \noverall winner of the second edition of the annual Federal Education \nSector Games (FEDUGAM) which ended in Lokoja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOUN won a total of 11 gold, 17 silver and five bronze medals to emerge champions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Federal Ministry of Education came second with 35 medals comprising \n11 gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze while the National Examination Council \n(NECO) emerged 3rd with 33 medals comprising eight gold, nine silver and\n 16 bronze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same vein, UBEC, TETFUND, NBTE, LRCN, NABTEB and TRCN emerged \n4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th positions respectively at the end of the\n tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the five day sporting event, \nChairman of the Main Organising Committee of the games, Auwalu Koko, \nexpressed delight over the successful outcome of the games and urged the\n contingents to imbibe the spirit of team work as they return to their \nvarious offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kogi State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Prince Salisu Ogu, assured the organisers of the state\u2019s readiness to host the games in subsequent editions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
