Offa, Kwara State was agoged as the first edition of the Olofa Football Tournament & Scouting programme for secondary schools, kicked off on Wednesday at the Offa stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The championship tagged Offa Cup is hosted in honour of Olofa of Offa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mufutau Muhammed Oloyede Gbadamosi (Okikiola Ajagungbade I, Esuwoye II), and proudly sponsored by Gene6 Beginners Football Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two victories, two draws and seven goals were recorded on MatchDay One, as the curtain raiser of the 16 days championship which was between Moremi High School Offa and St Marks Secondary School ended in a barren draw as both teams failed to make the most of their clear cut chances infront of goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Government Secondary School Ilorin recorded the first victory of the tournament without kicking the ball for 60 minutes after they walked over Comprehensive High School Ajase-Ipo, to claim the maximum 3 points and 3 goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Government Secondary School Offa were not so lucky, after they and Ansarul Islam College shared the spoils after their game ended 1-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
