Katsina United midfielder Samson Lawal is elated after earning his Nigeria U20 call-up ahead of the Flying Eagles’ campaign at WAFU B U20 Championship taking place in Niamey, capital of Niger Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven\u2013time African champions, the Flying Eagles will play in Group B of the WAFU B Championship alongside Ghana and Burkina Faso, with the tournament scheduled for 7th \u2013 20th May in Niamey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I feel elated because nothing is better than representing your country and I give all the glory to Almighty Allah,” he mused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I just want to do my best and show the coaching crew my ability, make the family and the whole country proud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I believe Nigeria is one of the best footballing countries within Africa if not the best and I believe the coaches have the tactical know how together with the quality of the players within camp and with our determination and courage we will be able to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
