… warns against making mistakes choosing next President

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has asked Nigerians to make informed decisions on who becomes their next President, warning against making the mistakes of the past.

Governor Bello who gave the charge when officially declared to contest the nation’s presidential election come 2023, said Nigeria deserves to be a one united nation without diversity where no one will be considered a minority if he’s elected as President.

The All Progressive Congress, APC Presidential aspirant promised to create 20 million millionaires by the year 2023 using the South East model of Apprenticeship.

The Governor said his Youthfulness which is a factor that would enhance his performance, assured that he is physically and mentally fit to lead Nigeria to prosperity.

He listed courage to lead the country as another best selling point he has over others, said his decision to stand alone when it mattered most has vindicated him aftermath of COVID-19 pandemic, just as he promised to take courageous decisions that would move the country forward.

While noting that achieving security, unity and peace in a large difficult terrain like Kogi State which has remained a positive reference, he promised to replicate same in Nigeria when elected.

He added that his excellent record in managing diversity as governor, would enable him run a country with inclusiveness making Nigeria, irrespective of tribe, religion, age in ensuring fair and equitable distribution of appointments and resources.

If elected as President, Gov. Bello promised to fight the agelong Farmers/ herders clashes, ethnicity, to dismantle age long challenge that has retarded the country from witnessing growth and development.

While he listed the achievement of 35% affirmative action for women to be included in governance in the state as Governor, he said such will be applied more empathy in governance in recruitment and distribution of resources.

The Governor assured of empowerment for Nigerians if elected by ensuring that no one is made to think they are inferior, insisting that leadership can lead one to stand alone, said in the course of building a virile nation he would do all that is needed to improve the living condition of Nigerians.

While he promised to do what is right without fear of favour, said he will demonstrate strong courage in neutralizing crimes like banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery, assured of tough times for non state actors whom he noted are allowed to take up arms against the state in Nigeria if elected.

In a remarks by the National Coordinator of Yahaya Bello for President, Sen. Jonathan Zwingina, said Gov. Yahaya Bello has what it takes to continue with the positive leadership style of President Mohammadu Buhari.

Sen. Zwingina described Gov. Yahaya Bello as a highly detribalized Nigerian, said he remains an understanding leader that Nigeria needs.

While pointing out that Nigeria needs a leader like Gov. Bello who embraces other religious beliefs, commended the efforts in making Kogi State safe from crimes and criminalities, described him as the type of leader Nigeria needs moving forward.

While pointing out that there are leadership gaps in the nations leadership reason why the call for him to aspire in 2023, described Gov. Bello as having the capacity of the Singapore and United Arab Emirates, urged Nigerians to rally support for him to become the nations president for the desired prosperity.

Chairman of the occasion, described Gov. Bellos declaration is hope for better Nigeria, to end poverty and bad governance, said the declaration has proven that youths have come to prove they are leaders of tomorrow.

While he urged the youthful population in Nigeria to come out enmass and support Gov. Bello, urged the youth to use there 60% population across the country to throw their support for Gov. Bello.

The Chairman added that Gov. Bello has the pedigree, character to lead Nigeria to prosperity, commended his efforts in unifying Kogi State, making the state secured, expressed satisfaction with his courage in handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
