Ayomide Marcus was on target for Fierense against Benfica B on Matchday 11 of the Portuguese Liga 2 as his brilliant performance helped his team secure a vital 2-0 win over Benfica B.
After dropping points on match day 10 & 9 the need to secure maximum points was paramount for Marcus and his teammates.
Ayomide opened the scoring in the 23rd minute of the game and his performance on the day earned the man of the match award.
Speaking after the game Ayominde was appreciative of the privilege to be starting the game.
“I thank God for the award also the coaches and my teammates for helping me get this award, I also appreciate the privilege of starting the game.
“It’s important for us to get the win today because we didn’t win in our last two games against Arouca and Piedade so we need to win this game in our home.”
Ayomide brilliant performance earned him the MOTM award for the second time this season as Fierense are currently 4th on the log in the Portuguese Liga 2
