The men of the Underworld have again thrown the people of Lokoja and its environs into mourning mood following their killing of Mr Nicholas Ofodile, the owner of popular Chucks Shopping Mall on Wednesday.

Mr Ofodile, an indigene of Agulu in Anambra State, who was returning from Abuja was killed along two others travelers at Abaji, a border town between the Federal Capital Territory, FCT and Kogi State.

According to an eye witness, the incident happened at about noon on Wednesday when the kidnappers were carrying out their heinous act on commuters and shooting sporadically at every vehicles to force them to stop.

It was also reported that the kidnappers escaped to the bush after taking along some persons with them.

One of the apprentices of Mr Ofodile said the late owner of Chuck Supermarket had left for Abuja since Monday and has already called that he’s on his way just for them to be informed of his demise by robbers.

The PPRO of Kogi State Police Command could not be reached as at the time of filing this report.

The incident is happening just a week after Isanlu armed robbery attacks on bank and police station that claimed over 10 lives.

Mr Ofodile, a staunch Arsenal fan was also a member of Kogi State Football All Stars
