I was once a Classroom Teacher – Mansur Abdullahi

Former Warri Wolves FC gaffer, Mansur Abdullahi has stated that, he gave some professions a shot before quitting to pursue another course which somewhat exposed and gave him the needed fame.

Aboki Coach as he’s fondly called was drafted into coaching profession by the legendary Coach Godwin Bamigboye Of FCT.

The Abuja based NIS graduate also holds CAF C and B licence. He later became the pioneer coach of the Successful Puma FC, FCT., the side that discovered and nurtured series of youth sensations who later represented Nigeria at international scene, notable amongst them are former youth international Agboyi Ovakha, Nosa Igiebor, Rabiu Ibrahim, Kingsley Udoh and Chichi Igbo who played for Super Falcons in 2007 World Cup.

Coach Mansur has once tinkered National U-13 female side ditto male counterparts. He was later deployed to serve as an assistant coach of Super Falcons, he acted in the same capacity with the U-20 Super Falconets. He has been to the two World Cups with National Under 17 sides.

“Jide Fashikun of blessed memory encouraged me to do a little bit of journalism, some years back l reported for Naija Football, I used to do a female football reportage on Football Galore in time past likewise a regular contributor on Totori News.

“l was once a classroom teacher, I did alot of teaching before quitting in 1999. My late brother noticed my passions for the game and encouraged me to go for coaching, since then, I didn’t look back.” Former Technical Adviser of Bayelsa Queens told a vivacious and buzzing Sport Platform, Sport World.
