Kwara South Updates: Senator Ashiru Visits Oke-Ero

Idofin Igbana, a community under Oke-Ero Local Government has been for years striving for a better health care facility among other social amenities.

The present health centre is a small building owned by a magistrate court. Recently, there is a police post in the community, this necessitated the full activities of the Magistrate court to resume in session after years of in-operation, this event has posed a threat to the only health care facility being enjoyed by the community.

There has been an earlier call made to Senator Oyelola Ashiru to come to the community aid, the Senator had sent an engineer in advance to inspect the long abandoned hospital building project in the town.

Senator Oyelola Ashiru, at on-the-spot assessment of the hospital project approved the immediate release of substantial fund to the community for instant renovation of the abandoned hospital to salvage challenges associated with health service in the community.

The community through Onidofin of Idofin-Igbana, Oba Samuel Fabiyi, commended the senator for responding to the community timely, when they are in dire need of special intervention, he ended his commendations with royal blessings.

Also speaking, the community through Idofin Descendant Union President, Mr. John Adeoti, appreciated the Senator and thanked him for been passionate about the plight of his people.

In the same vein, there was port of call at Eromola water fall, where there was discussion with the community on the preferred location of the proposed tourists hall.

Recall that as captured in 2020 budget, there is ‪“upgrade and development of Owu Fall, and upscaling and beautification of Eromola Water fall being facilitated by Senator Oyelola Yissa Ashiru representing the good people of Kwara South Senatorial Districts “.
