Leganes lands two youngsters from Omeruo Football Academy

Spanish Second Division side, Leganes have secured transfers of two young player from Kenneth Omeruo football academy

The two young prospects, Obi Martins and Samuel Obaleh will be joining the Spanish Segunda club, Leganes in January.

Omeruo,the former Chelsea defender confirmed this on Thursday at the Catholic Church playing Ground, Gwarimpa, Abuja, where scouting for talented young players is currently ongoing.

The 19 year old Obi Martins who was dropped in the Ladan Bosso led Flying Eagles team is. defensive midflielder  and will be hoping to join Leganes’ first team after signing a professional contract.

Martins was formerly a player of John Utaka academy before teaming up with Kenneth Omeruo Academy. Samuel Obaleh put pen to paper on a youth contract as he’s hoping to convince the coaches with his performance to seal a pro deal.

Looking back to over a decade of his football career, an elated Omeruo was full of praise to the Almighty and Coach Abimbola Samuel, who discovered him at the same pitch, eleven years ago adding that he is happy to see his dream of many years coming to reality.

He however reiterated his commitment to help other young players actualize their dreams of playing football to higher level.
