NPFL: Onamado Aiming Top Three for Warri Wolves

As the Nigeria Professional football league gets underway this weekend, one of the country’s longest serving captains, Warri Wolves’ Goodluck Onamado has commended the management team of the Seasiders as they are fondly called for securing a premier league ticket for the 2019/2020 season as well as the recruitment of seasoned and experienced players for the new season.

Goodluck who has been with the club since 2005, had played for FC Ifeanyi Ubah,and current league champions Enyimba international at various times before returning to join the crop of experienced players being hired for the season by the Warri based team.
Speaking about his expectations for the 2019/2020 season,the versatile defender said with the current recruitment patterns implored by the club, where seasoned and experienced league players have been drafted to blend with the young stars that got the promotion ticket,he is certain fans and supporters of the club will not be disappointed this season, as he believes, top three position is visible for the club at the end of the league season.

” Am so happy to see that premier league games has now returned to Warri, before now, most football fans after Wolves got relegated years back will sit at home glued to their television set, but now, they will be excited to come watch live matches at the stadium. I know that with the experienced players in our team, and with the unflinching support from our fans this season will be interesting and fullfilling.”
“I believe Wolves will start on a winning note and work hard to maintain their form to be among the top three best teams by the end of the season.”
“We want the management to create an enabling environment and the needed support and our fans to always come out en mass at our games to cheer the team to victory.”

The present management team led by Etu Moses,has recruited players who had previously played for wolves and some whom they believe with their wealth of experience in the NPFL, will help the club actualise their ambitions this season.
Such players include, Efe Yarhere, Michael Egeta, Abu Azeez, Julius Ubido and a host of others.

Speaking futher and reacting to comments by a cross section of the club fans on his playing time and age, Goodluck said he has a lot to offer regardless of age which he said it’s mere numbers.
” I will play untill am ready to retire, which is not soon,and when I do retire, plans are already on the way for me to join Wolves coaching crew”.

Warri wolves will get their 2019/ 2020 football league quest on the way this weekend, 3rd November, 2019 with a home game at the Warri city stadium against another south south club,Akwa United of Uyo.
