Overcoming hunger to reverse Type-2 Diabetes, Obesity

Each day I read obituaries that another great or small person is dead reminds me of the fact that I am gradually getting closer to my own grave. Yes, we will all die someday. We won’t be here forever. Before we know it, each of us will end up as dust, where we came from.

Life is indeed a fleeting ride. No matter our positions and the heights of our greatness, death is one debt we just have to pay. I am not a guru and never wish to be one. All I do is to work hard in an attempt to be useful to the society, love my family, keep my integrity intact, rule my field to world-class mastery, real dedication to personal healing, regular adventure, helping those in need and reversing global pandemic of obesity and type-2 diabetes.

Last week, I told you on this platform that the result of the calorie diets are known to be poor and not long-lasting and that doctors know it doesn’t work but they continue to recommend it. Experts have continued to say that randomized controlled trials prove that ‘eat less, move more’ is guaranteed to fail over a long term, but, their best advice to their patients remains calorie counting of ‘eat less and move more’. I did promise that this week I will tell you the reasons the eat less, move more calorie syndrome doesn’t work for the overweight, obese and type-2 diabetics. This is the concern of Larger Than Life this week.

One of the major reasons the calorie diet fails is that it slows metabolism. As you know, slow metabolism is responsible for weight gain. Besides, it depletes energy and increases the pressure to eat more.

The principle of biology of human starvation indicates that when you are on 1,570 calorie per day, your resting metabolic rate will decline by 40 per cent. Heart volume shrinks by 20 per cent and heart rate slows, while body temperature drops. The analysis is that your energy will decrease and when body energy decreases, metabolism is lowered, the effect is that there will be no weight loss. This is the basis for increased hunger pangs.

The truth is that increased hunger pang is not a product of lack of will-power. Most times when you are hungry, the solution is not eating and overeating continuously. Your body will always rely on your stored energy to feed. Energy will be derived from your fat storage in your body. And if you can fast for a couple of days, your weight loss and diabetes reversal will radically improve.

Another fact is that your body fat storage is not for show, it is stored for you to use when there is no food. Hunger is not forever. It doesn’t build and continuously build. It goes up and comes down like Isaac Newton’s law of gravity. In the event of hunger, your body will take food energy from your body fat. Hunger then will go lower and lower until it will finally disappear. With time, your body will get used to not getting unnecessarily hungry. Your cravings get decreased, your hunger is under control and metabolic rate increases. In just six weeks or thereabout, your cravings go away unlike in calorie counting where craving goes up.

The Eating Window Therapy remains as the best way to lose weight and keep diabetes reversed. The therapy stabilizes metabolism, decreases hunger, and maintains weight loss. The argument that the Eating Window and Non-Eating Window Therapy will burn muscles is false. The body is not that stupid to start burning your muscles because it is using energy stored.

Similarly, human history did it, so, you too can do it. The Eating and Non-Eating Windows make life easier, no counting calories. You are free to eat meat, fish, poultry and other fatty foods. But the 21st century people think the thoughts are stupid and that they will do it their own way, eating endlessly.

You want to know why doctors don’t recommend the Eating and Non-Eating Window Therapy to their patients? It is not because they don’t know that it works. It is because it is not lucrative. They won’t make money from it.
