Prof. Stephen Ocheni Congratulates Gov. Bello, Onoja On Reelection Victory

The landslide victory recorded by Gov. Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja in the last Saturday’s Kogi State governorship election has been described as the bridge that has broken the ethnicity discord inherent in the state over the years.

The immediate past Minister for State, Labour and Employment, Prof. Stephen Ocheni, made the assertion while congratulating and reacting to the victory of Gov. Bello and Chief Onoja in the Saturday’s governorship election, said the governorship election victory signifies one united Kogi State.

Prof. Ocheni urged the governor and his deputy to see their resounding victory as the much desired expectations of the people to do more.

The former Minister equally called on the governor and his deputy to see their victory as another opportunity to rally round and bring Kogi people together towards sustaining the unity so far achieved by this administration.

Prof. Ocheni advised all the contestants in the last governorship election to see leadership as ordained by God, appealed to them to accept defeat as another opportunity would certainly present itself for another contest, says there can be no alternative to peace.

Prof. Ocheni thanked Kogi people for having faith and confidence in the leadership of Gov. Bello and Chief Onoja, assuring that the coming years and administration would no doubt be rewarding for Kogi state people.

He finally thanked the INEC, Security officials and others who contributed to the state having a credible election devoid of significant hitches, assured that the massive votes given the governor would be reciprocated in human and capital development.
