Super Eagles striker wins Czech league with Slavia Prague

Super Eagles and Slavia Prague’s forward Peter Olayinka has won the Czech Liga 1 for the second season in a row.

This was sealed after Slavia Prague’s slim 1-0 victory over Viktoria Plezn on Wednesday.

Sevcik’s 69th-minute goal was enough to crown Slavia Prague as champions of the league after winning the 2018-2019 title, they added the 2019-2020 trophy to their league cabinet.

Olayinka’s side claimed the title with a total of 74 points ahead of Ubong Ekpai’s Viktoria Plezn in the second position with 69 points.

Slavia recorded the highest away wins in the course of the season with a 1-5 victory over Teplice. The club also held the record for the highest and lowest league match attendance in the course of the season.

Peter Olayinka scored the first goal of this season UEFA Champions League group stage during Slavia Prague’s 1-1 draw with Inter Milan.

He had his debut appearance for the Super Eagles of Nigeria against Brazil during an international friendly match last October.
