Yusuf Acheku From Kogi Emerges New National Chairman Forum of States’ Health Educators

Alhaji Yusuf Acheku, the Kogi State Health Educator, on Wednesday emerged as the new elected National Chairman of Forum of States’ Health Educators, in a keenly contested election held at Frasier Suites Abuja.

Acheku, who was among the three contestants nominated for the chairmanship position of the forum, scored 25 votes to defeat two other contestants who shared the remaining 13 votes.

However, the other two contestants accepted defeat and promised their unflinching support for the new national chairman in order to take the forum to the next level of greatness.

In his acceptance speech, Acheku thanked the members for considering him worthy of the position and for the confidence reposed in him, and promised never to disappoint them.

Acheku, however dedicated the new position to Kogi State Government through the Hon Commissioner for Health, Dr Saka Haruna Audu; and the Executive Director Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Abubakar Yakubu, for the opportunity and guidance given to him to perform on the job which had earned him the achievement.

Untill his nomination for the forum’s chairman, Acheku is the Kogi State health Educator and Chairman States’ Health Educators, North Central, but as Allah would have it, he became the new National Chairman of the forum.

Mr Waheed Elegbede, the Ogun State Health Educator, emerged as the Secretary of the forum
